Yoyo Cafe & Mini Croissant sits along Jalan Tun Razak in Kota Kinabalu, providing a relaxed spot for locals and visitors looking for a casual caffeine fix paired with light bites. As a cafe, it blends a spacious indoor setting with an inviting atmosphere where friends gather or those working remotely can settle for a while. The space feels open and unhurried, making it a comfortable retreat from the city’s bustle, especially during weekday afternoons or early evenings.

What sets Yoyo apart in Kota Kinabalu’s cafe scene is its focus on croissants and milky teas. Regular visitors often praise the croissants for their distinct buttery flakiness and well-crafted dough—though some have noticed slight variations over time. The pastries serve well for a light breakfast or an afternoon snack, appealing mostly to those who appreciate a traditional European-style pastry adapted to local tastes.

On the drink front, Yoyo’s milky teas, including their signature Yam Milky Tea and bubble tea options, strike a balance between refreshment and sweetness without feeling overly sugary. These beverages are popular among island-hopping travelers wanting to cool down, and locals looking for a go-to bubble tea that is less heavy than some international chains. The staff here are noted to be friendly and attentive, adding to the inviting vibe.

Overall, Yoyo Cafe is best suited for casual visits—whether you’re popping in for a quick fix of milk tea after a day outdoors, or settling in with a croissant while catching up with friends. It’s not a crowded or noisy spot, but one where the pace slows enough to savor simple flavors without rush. Given its location on a main road but slightly off the busiest centers, it seems to attract a mix of neighborhood regulars and visitors who stumble upon it after exploring Kota Kinabalu's local neighborhoods.

Yoyo Cafe in Suria Sabah, Kota Kinabalu is a hidden gem for anyone who loves croissants! I have been eating croissants here for a few years now, and I must say, they are simply fantastic. As a picky croissant eater, I appreciate the perfect balance of buttery-ness and flakiness in their croissants, and Yoyo Cafe never disappoints. The dough is of the highest quality, and you can taste the strong technique of the baker in every bite. Their croissants are never too airy or too heavy, just the right consistency that makes them a perfect indulgence for any time of the day. What's more, Yoyo Cafe's prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality and taste of their croissants. If you are looking for something extra special, I highly recommend trying their chocolate mini croissant, which is my personal favorite! Overall, if you are a croissant lover like me and looking for a place that offers fantastic croissants at reasonable prices, Yoyo Cafe is definitely worth a visit. Their chocolate mini croissants are a must-try, and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!

Great local franchise boba shop in Sabah. The yam milky tea I ordered is nice , refreshing and not too sweet . Good for a cool down drink after coming back from island hopping.

Hi Yoyo, I have been a fan of your croissants from years ago, but this year after a few purchase, it has become less flaky & buttery. It tasted more bun-ish. Please if you could, do change back to the original version. Sincerely,

The mini croissants are excellent. I bought the original mini croissants which has just the right amount of flakiness and crunchiness. Could do with a bit more buttery flavour, but per satisfactory nonetheless. The place is pleasant for doing a short co-working with a couple power sockets available, and a great alternative to the nearby Starbucks.
